Several members have been asking for a series of more social rides with a slower pace, an enjoyable destination, and no urgency to get anywhere by anytime. So RBC is introducing the Last Sunday Brunch Adventure Rides brought to you by Reston Bicycle Club.  Please see the Upcoming Events for all the details.

Annual Meeting 2017

At the club's Annual Meeting on November 12 at ArtSpace Herndon, 2017 RBC chair Phil Magrogan reviewed the club's activities for the past year and outlined the program for 2018.  Over 75 RBC members and friends enjoyed good food, drink and company.

Bike/Walk to School - Fall 2017

RBC again supported Terraset ES Bike-to-School program on October 4th donating helmets & bike locks, loaning bike racks, encouraging correct helmet wear,  and more.  Four RBC members welcomed over 100 young cyclists.  

RBC 35th Century - Sunday Aug 27 

Over 1250 riders enjoyed great weather for this great event and some of the new variations: Reston routing, watermelon, pickles, DJ and more. Lots of photos & video available at the RBC Facebook page .

South Lakes High School Jersey Contest

  RBC ordered this years 1st place jerseys for awards and for the six RBC members that placed orders.  On 14 June Phil, Ed, and Ken presented awards to the six winners of the jersey competition, and jerseys to the 1st place winner, the school, and the graphic Arts Instructor, Amy Saylor.  See photos. 

RBC has found that additional jerseys can be ordered!  We can order "Classic", "Women's", and "Pro" fit jerseys.  All jerseys have full length hidden zippers.  Order here.


Reston Bike Rack Dedication

RBC board members and RA staff celebrate the first of many bike racks funded by your club. Current chair Chip Magrogan, past chair Bobby Anderson and RA Parks & Rec Larry Butler cut the ribbon at Lake Newport pool.


Annual Swap Meet & Pot Luck

The 6th Annual Winter Pot Luck Social & Swap Meet was held at Reston Nature House on 12 March 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM.  A few RBC members did spring cleaning and brought items to sell or swap, and socialize with RBC members. I unloaded a crank donated by James last year.  As we get into the Spring cycling and find extra items not needed, let  the RBC Board know if you would like another swap meet                                  


Reston W&OD Bike Counter


April 27 - Club Chair Bobby Anderson with Fairfax Supervisors Hudgins and Bulova at the dedication of the first (of many) bike/pedestrian counters in Fairfax. This pilot project funded by RBC ...more


Herndon Bike Give-Away

RBC board members Karen Palino & Ken Thompson, and Member Ed Robichaud help fit RBC donated helmets to 20 needy children getting free re-habed bicycles from the Herndon Middle School bike club program on a chilly Saturday morning - Dec 19, 2015. 


      Please remember to share the road with drivers              by NOT riding many abreast for long periods.
