Warrior Ride - Discount for Members

As a thank you for RBC supporting the Warrior Ride (info below), RBC Members will receive a registration discount using code RBC10 through August 30th. Please visit their registration page for more details.

The Warrior Ride event supports our nation's wounded, ill and injured service members through the services provided by the nonprofit organization Willing Warriors. Many of them will be participating in the event either as riders, volunteers, or part of the crowd cheering the riders on. Many active duty and veteran service members may also be participating. These outstanding individuals have given so much to defend our country. Through our work at the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run, we've seen how the support of the community helps to lift their spirits, heal their hidden wounds, and rebuild their lives. The Warrior Bike Ride is your opportunity to see them, ride alongside them, get to know them, and thank them in person for the service and sacrifices they've given to our country. Whether you want to ride, volunteer or just be part of the crowd cheering them on, this is an event that you don't want to miss!

Volunteer and Support the Cycling Community

Volunteers Needed! Support the Reston Youth Triathlon on Sunday, July 19.

This year's event is sold out with a record 250+ young athletes competing in a fun, participation-focused triathlon and aquathlon. I volunteered at one of CORE Foundation and Racing in Reston's events earlier this year and found it incredibly rewarding. If you have a few hours to spare, I highly recommend it!

It's a great opportunity for individuals, families, or teens looking to earn volunteer hours while helping make this amazing community event possible.

Dry mill road work complete

Some of us rode on Dry Mill road this morning during the Sunday tour ride. It had been closed while road crews resurfaced the bridge up by the route 9 traffic circle.

I’m pleased to report that it is perfectly navigable. There is a little gravel on the turn just below the bridge so use caution on that turn if you are coming from the traffic circle.
