The average speed on this ride is often over 20 mph, in practice, even with 1200’ of elevation. There are many turns onto neighborhood streets that are busy with homeward commuters. People shouldn’t need to be told not to cross yellow lines, not to go around cars on Glade, etc., so I won’t tell you. Sapienti sat.

There are two gathering points: the November Lane cul-de-sac after the Birdfoot climb, and the top of Hunter Station.

Normal club rules: 

• You must have a tail light.

• You must be registered for the ride.

• Non-members may register, and ride as our guest…once. After that, you are required to be a member of the Reston Bike Club.

• No tri bikes, no e-bikes.

• No earbuds.
