Hone your bike handling and technical group riding skills with Hefler Performance Coaching (HPC) head coaches Sue Hefler and Pierre Pelletier. For over 20 years, HPC continues to be the Mid-Atlantic region’s gold standard in cycling performance training for cycling! Together Susan and Pierre combine over 50 years of high-level racing and successful coaching expertise. Susan raced at Professional and World Cup level on the road and is a US National Champion in Women’s 3000 Meter Pursuit ( track) Susan provides coaching programs and physiology for many top cyclists, including the HB Supermint Professional Women’s Cycling Team. Pierre Has raced as a Professional Cyclist on the road as well as working as a Massage Therapist and performance consultant for many Pro cycling teams, the US Ski Team, and elite level athletes in endurance sports. HPC proudly supports all levels of cyclists from beginners to champions...
The 4 hour clinic will focus on simple skills, techniques, and strategies you can use to successfully navigate challenging situations that often arise on group rides. HPC's training program includes classroom instruction followed by on-bike drills and games where you will practice easy and safe group riding techniques.The grand finale will will be a fun 10 mile ride to practice what you have learned!
Cost is $20, and if you agree to be a ride leader for the 2019 season, RBC will refund that cost to future dues. (Actual cost per person is over $40 but RBC is covering the remainder because we believe so strongly that training makes our rides safer and more fun).
